It was a beautiful April afternoon when I met Jessica and Matt at Blue Moon Rising in Mchenry, Maryland. The weather warmed up for us, mother nature gifting us one warm day. Jessica and Matt greeted me with smiles as they drove over in their green go cart. With that we explored the grounds many cabins sprinkled throughout. We drove up to the top of the hill and slowly made our way down the hill for the session.
We explored the grounds, the sun slowly setting, and played with the world around us. I noticed this shed that lovely texture, was a good spot to sit, and I quite loved it. This was in the area where blue moon rising holds receptions for their weddings. Next we visited the ceremony site, surrounded by tall trees and wooden arbor in the middle. It was a perfect location for some back lit images.
Next we made out way to the cabin called The Phoenix, a name I most certainly love.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and I adored the large wooden pillars, the pops of color on the building, it’s large windows. Jessica and Matt complimented this location beautifully. I loved seeing how gently Matt would kiss her, the way he held her close, the love in his eyes for this girl. After vising The Phoenix for a bit we made our way down the rest of the hill and captured some of my favorite shots of the day!
As we made our way down the hill we stopped at the large rocks that overlooked the lake. That’s the beautiful thing about the Garret County area: there’s always water somewhere to admire. We ended our time together by the garage I loved the the slanted roof top, and my favorite thing was the little deck on the other side that we could see the beautiful sunset.
